E! Reveals the Drama Behind the Glamour in New Special “Uncovered: The Hidden Lives of Miss USA” Premiering Wednesday, June 21 at 9 PM ET/PT on E! Entertainment

One-Hour Special Produced by Al Roker Entertainment, Inc. Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Chaos, the Comedy and the Drama at the 2006 Miss USA Pageant

(June 7 - Los Angeles, CA)

With sequined gowns, silky sashes and one coveted tiara, the Miss USA Pageant is the glitziest competition of the year. Viewers adore it and little girls dream about it. But the backstage drama at Donald Trump’s dazzling event is far from perfect smiles and Cinderella stories. The stakes are high and nerves are raw as 51 young women primp, rehearse and compete in a cutthroat battle for the crown as E! follows the beauty queens to reveal the real backstage antics in a one-hour special Uncovered: The Hidden Lives of Miss USA premiering Wednesday, June 21 at 9 pm ET/PT on E! Entertainment Television.

With unparalleled access to Miss USA 2005 as she prepares to relinquish her title, Uncovered: The Hidden Lives of Miss USA also follows Miss California USA and Miss Florida USA - who have sacrificed it all to vie for the crown. >From severe stage fright to emotional apologies, E! gives viewers a peek inside the often misunderstood lives of beauty queens and captures the fun, the frenzy and the fury of pageant night as it has never been seen before on television.

Uncovered: The Hidden Lives of Miss USA follows contenders from their arrival in Baltimore, Maryland three weeks before the pageant through a flurry of fittings, photo sessions, rehearsals, press events and public appearances. The grueling schedule and lack of sleep takes its toll and it’s every beauty queen contestant for herself. Accidents on stage, a frantic tattoo cover-up and more than a couple beauty queens with two left feet keep the choreographer on his toes. The pressure mounts as the top 15 finalists are selected a week before the actual Miss USA show on NBC. Just hours before the Miss USA pageant goes live, backstage chaos is at a peak, from a coach’s desperate final instructions, to the panic of a missing shoe.

Finally, it’s show time, but what unfolds backstage is perhaps more dramatic than the competition itself. And the drama does not stop when the pageant ends. The action continues backstage after the new queen is announced and every moment of the behind-the-scenes commotion is revealed in Uncovered: The Hidden Lives of Miss USA.

Sharing their personal adventures exclusively with E!, Miss California USA and Miss Florida USA keep camera “diaries” throughout the mayhem. From the camaraderie to a little cattiness, they reveal their honest feelings about life as a beauty queen and their secret strategies to become the next MISS USA.

Also throughout the special, viewers get a close-up look at 22 year-old, Chelsea Cooley, Miss USA 2005, who spent the past year living in a Donald Trump-owned high-rise apartment in New York City with Natalie Glebova, the 23 year-old stunner who defeated her for the Miss Universe crown, and 17 year-old Allie LaForce, Miss Teen USA.
